Today we eagerly used our field guide to identify leaves, birds, and seeds! The children raced to their findings excitedly, reflecting on what they found using both descriptions and scientific knowledge. “There’s a maple leaf!” said B. “Let’s listen for the birds, not look, only listen.” she added. This book is offering us daily opportunities to learn about our world, use our senses and develop a love of the land.
