Squirrel Nests
Landmark 9 (Special Outdoor Place)
On a nature hike through a nearby park last week, we began noticing all of the squirrel nests in the trees now that the branches are bare. We brainstormed together what materials a squirrel might use to build their nest and then we tried it ourselves. We gathered fallen leaves and other materials to create our own squirrel nests on the ground. We discovered that it is harder than it looks to make!
