Lullabies for Marv
Landamrk 5 (Garden/Care for Animal)
We enjoyed our second visit with Marv the bunny, from Riverview Park and Zoo, today! We learned that Marv, like all rabbits, is in the rodent family. Rodents need healthy things to chew on to keep their front teeth the correct length. Marv got some browse today, which was a twig from an apple tree. Browse also provides the animal with essential vitamins and nutrients. After a while, Marv got sleepy, so some of the kindergartens sang him lullabies to help him go to sleep. We also got to meet the crested geckos. They are timid creatures, like rabbits, and need a quiet place to live. We had to really search for the geckos among the tropical plants because they were so well camouflaged!
