Landmark 6 (Play in Nature a Full Hour)

Three of the FDK afterschool program children were playing together making houses for their toys. The houses used a variety of different materials that they gathered from all over the playground yard. They created the shape with wood chips and made sure to add outlines for rooms and used rocks for doors. They lastly found a colourful log that had been left outdoors and used it as their front door to the house. They spent the full outdoor time creating and redesigning the house to fit how they were playing. It was wonderful to watch how they expanded their play with each new element they brought into their house.
