Ojibwe Animal Words

Landmark 7 (Books, Songs, Games Weekly)

We were excited to have Melody Crowe come for a visit this morning! She read us a book called “It’s a Mitig” by Bridget George. We heard the Ojibwe words for different parts of the natural world. The Kindergartens had fun guessing the English word for the Ojibwe animal words. We talked about caring for all parts of nature every day. We sang a song about water and we are looking forward to learning a new water song during Melody’s next visit. Thank you Melody for sharing your morning with us!
