Animal Homes
Landmark 12 (Nearby Plants and Animals)
The Grade 2-5 classes at Immaculate Conception adapted to life as a rodent, learned all about soils and made a terrarium as well as learned about all sorts of different animal homes. Each class spent a half day with Nature Nancy exploring nearby nature in the sun, rain, wind and hail. That didn’t stop them from creating and exploring what it is like for creatures in different kinds of homes, whether it is in the ground or up in a tree. The students are going to return to these bird’s nests that they made to see if they are strong enough to stand the test of time or perhaps a creature may have taken advantage of a free home.
