Daisy’s Snow Adventure

6. Play in Nature a Full Hour (1 pt/month) We took Daisy puppy on our snowy adventure for the first time today! The hill was slippery and I was glad the friends are such brave and capable mountain climbers. I am always curious where the friends will visit first-I love that they so passionately lead the way! “Let’s check the ice…” said E. The friends were hopeful that their helmets they had kept on from sledding would be put to good use. “Maybe we can skate!” said E. The ditch was slush, but once it gets a bit colder I think their wish will come true! I was happy the friends remembered this adventure from last year. We trudged along to the woods, where I was amazed when the friends had the idea to dig into the snow and find what was underneath it. “I found nature!” exclaimed K. The friends were enthralled with looking at the forest floor from this new perspective. Moss and sticks peeked from under their snowy blanket. We were really delighted when Daisy began to help the friends dig into the earth too! “This is our project and Daisy is helping us!” said B. B and K took off their mittens to fully experience the cold, hard dirt. “I found cedar!” said K. The smell of the overturned soil, mixed with moss and cedar in the frigid air was so refreshing.
