Celebrating Seasons
Landmark 11 (Celebrate each Season)
We have so enjoyed celebrating the changing of the seasons. In Science, we have been learning why deciduous trees lose their leaves while coniferous trees keep their needles. The deciduous trees are now bare, and evergreen boughs are plentiful. This week, we have celebrated the changing of the seasons in our art. We used snips from cedar, white pine and hemlock trees to make art prints that we then turned into ornaments for our class Christmas tree. We used cornstarch and baking soda dough and used cookie cutters to make festive shapes.
The dough recipe can be found at: https://www.cbc.ca/parents/play/view/beautiful-nature-imprint-ornaments?fdfds
