Animals in Winter

Our class has been talking about how animals, including people, get food and stay warm in the season of winter. First, we made a big idea web with all the things we knew about what animals do. Some hibernate, some sleep a bit and then wake up, some store food, and some migrate. Then we read “Animals in Winter” by Stephane Poulin, a photo album of animals and what they do in the wintertime. We drew pictures and did some writing about what we learned.
