The Art of Celebrating Seasons

Landmark 11 (Celebrate Each Season)

As a class we are learning about different ways to celebrate the seasons. We talked about activities we can do in the winter and discussed different things we can do in the snow. As a class we brained stormed ways we can have fun in the snow. As a class we came up with: Making snow forts, building snowman, making snow angels, going skating, skiing and ice fishing. We went outside as a class and played in the snow. The students were encouraged to explore what they can do in the snow. Many students tried to make snowman. As a follow-up activity, we made snowman out of recycled pallets (we talked about ways we can reduce, reuse and recycle). The students got to take home the snowman as a gift to remember the fun activity’s we can do in the snow and show how we can reuse old items to make them new.
