Snow-Covered Trail

Landmark 9 (Special Outdoor Place 2X/Month)

Visiting our favourite places in all seasons builds within us a deep connection to the land. Today as we ventured down the snow-covered trail, we greeted the jays and the sleeping flora eagerly. It took a lot of muscle to walk through snow that was well up to our knees, but we felt so happy to be here with friends. The apple tree was our destination, and we were truly amazed at how the snow was right up to our favourite place to sit on her trunk. “The tree must have fallen…” suggested B. She quickly realized that this wasn’t the case, there was just SO much snow. We left tracks with our sled and our snow stompers, and brought back chilly memories of this wonderful place, and the journey to reach it.
