Celebrating Urban Birds

Landmark 15 (Garden, birdfeeder, insects etc.)

The students in the Junior Nature Class have been learning to identify local birds and applying their knowledge to contribute to citizen science. Students gathered observations for the “Celebrate Urban Birds” project through Cornell Ornithology and we will participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count later this week. Students have also been hanging suet for the birds and refilling our bird feeder in our outdoor classroom.
