Nature Scavenger Hunts

Our class has really gotten into doing nature scavenger hunts. What a great way to really see what is in nature around you, even a place you think you know so well, like your own schoolyard! We usually print a copy of the hunt for each student and attach them to clipboards because the children really love to check off the things they find on their own. (The class set of clipboards we purchased a couple of years ago has proven to be very useful for a variety of outdoor classroom activities.) One of our students has even been inspired to bring in scavenger hunts for us to do!
