Valentine’s for the Birds!

Today we showed a little love for our bird friends (and likely some squirrel friends too). We made some wire art hearts, and “beaded” them with cereal to leave a little treat for the birds. Students were to create a repeating pattern using either the attribute of size, shape or colour. This activity could also be used to discuss the fraction of each type of cereal used to make the hearts.
