Squirrel and Fox
Landmark 14 (Five New Outdoor Activities)
Today we got to spend some extra time outdoors with Neil and Rachel from Camp Kawartha. The students played a series of fun and interactive games which tied into learning about habitats and protecting our environment. The students enjoyed learning about why it is important to keep and plant trees while playing ‘squirrel and fox’. Each round there were fewer trees to ‘hide’ in and the game became more difficult until they ‘planted’ more trees. The students also enjoyed making habitats to help keep animals protected in the winter. The students took time to build a nest to try and keep their water as warm as possible.
