Get Them Hedgehogs!

Landmark 7 (Books, Songs, Games Weekly)

We began by reading the story in the forest habitat. We then played, a slow forest version and a fast field version, of a game we named, “Get Them Hedgehogs!”. Once tagged with the pool noodle, the new “Lisa’s” had to count to 10 before they chased after the hedgehogs. We had safety guideline discussions before each version of the game and the kids helped make the rules. At the end of the activity, the kids had to tell us which version they preferred and why. I love when these simple activities turn out to be powerhouse learning activities!
