Field or Forest?

Landmark 2 (Animal Friends Monthly)

We have been investigating birds and thought it would be interesting to see if we would spot more birds in the field or in the forest. The kids made a prediction, explained why they made that choice, tracked and tallied the birds they saw and shared their group findings. We noticed that most of the birds we spotted in the field were on the ground looking for food and most of the birds we saw in the forest were in trees. The kids finished up with unstructured playtime in the forest habitat and many were playing a game they invented called, ‘Bird Families’ which also had zombies and lava was everywhere!
