Signs of Spring

Landmark 11 (Celebrate Each Season)

I was amazed at the reverence and wonder the friends displayed as they found signs of spring. “A sweet little worm is wiggling in this mud…exclaimed B. The friends gathered around, so interested in watching the worm move his way through the clay. They placed him on the earth and watched him intently…Next, we stopped at the first dandelions of the season. The friends sat around them, admiring their yellow. “They aren’t quite open.” said E. “Maybe if we sing to them, they will open…”suggested B. My heart was so warmed as the friends gathered around the two budding flowers and began to sing sweetly and softly. We stayed for many minutes. “There. I think his bucket is filled.” stated B. I was touched that they felt that this small flora had a“bucket”, filled with good feelings after being visited and spoke to tenderly. “Oh yes…everything has a bucket.” B explained when I commented. What a wonderful reminder to me, to never rush and always stop to smell the flowers. The earth is alive and full of love for us, and it’s incredible how easily these friends share their love back to her.
