How Seeds Travel

Landmark 5 (Garden/Care for Animal)

Students read a book about a tiny seed and learned how seeds travel. Afterwards we acted out the various ways seeds travel as we pretended our bodies were seeds. We blew in the wind as a seed, traveled on an animal and fell to the ground demonstrating the various ways a seed can travel. Afterwards the students were invited to explore the freshly fallen spring snow that arrived overnight.
