3D Shapes
Landmark 6 (Play in Nature a Full Hour)
Sometimes we make time to play outside with simply just nature around us and sometimes we play out there and interact with other loose parts too. Today during free play, the students moved a slide up against a table and then experimented with sending down various items. Some items rolled, some rolled really far, and some items slid. Their play was a student-led extension of our current math focus on the properties and attributes of three-dimensional shapes.
