Newly Hatched
Landmark 15 (Garden, birdfeeder, insects etc.)
Wow! Our morning offered us the chance to engage in many different “Landmarks”! We enjoyed our animal friends, caring for our newly hatched chick (our second hatch of the season already!), brushing our bunny, feeding our chickens grass, and collected eggs. Thank you Kinsley’s family for these eggplant seedlings- we were so excited to spend time in our garden planting them. We also made sure to give the seedlings we grew for the community garden some attention. We used our senses as we made mud balls, a spontaneous activity where we carefully formed treasures using mud and water. It was so interesting to watch the friends explore how to get their treasures round and smooth. We visited the frogs, and navigated our own way to two of our special places-the jumping rock and the twisty tree. We are practicing a new skill-checkers! This takes a lot of patience and focus. Finally, we made mud soup (transferring soapy water into a hole dug by Mollie), and ended our morning by painting rainbows after a picnic lunch.
