Toad Terrarium

Landmark 5 (Garden/Care for Animal)

A toad hopped up onto A’s lap during snack, and everyone was so excited! The children talked about where the toad lives, and why he was in our yard. They were so interested in what types of food the toad might eat, too. The children built a temporary home for our toad friend in a terrarium and watched how the toad interacted with the things they put in with him. At the end of the day, we let the toad go so that it could find its way back to its home!
