Landmark 19 (Explore Biodiversity)

Our grade 5/6 classroom was part of a Junior field trip to the Toronto Zoo. We had a beautiful day exploring the many environments that have been created to support species conservation. Students were fortunate to learn from several of the amazing Toronto Zoo volunteers, who shared their knowledge about the habitats that various species live in, and what conditions enable them to thrive. This experience inspired meaningful conversations about a range of species at risk and practical ways that students can support species survival.
