Nature Boats

Landmark 6 (Play in Nature a Full Hour)

We have discovered that our favorite place to explore is down by Mill Pond Island, in Baxter Creek. I have observed the children throwing sticks, leaves and other nature items down the creek and watching where they go. Today as we walked down, we collected nature items to create “Nature Boats” when we got down to the island. I provided a platform with a long string to hold on too, the children and parents worked together to create their boats. How exciting it was to see that all of our boats did float!
