When Squirrels Try

We had a special visit from our friend Melody Crowe this morning. She read us a story called “When Squirrels Try”, by Lisa Galjanic. Its about a squirrel who has a very difficult time trying to get a big acorn up a tree. Finally he asks a friend to help, and they work together to bring the acorn up. They are so happy that they were able to do it! After the story, Melody invited the children to share a time that they have been a good friend to someone. The students were so proud to share their ideas with the group.
