“Cat, come to my patter shop! Here’s your patter. You can use it to make things or to cook with it!”
Noah had a collection of little ice pellets that he called ‘patter’. He asked me to make something with it, but when I picked some up, we noticed that they melted on my fingers! “They don’t melt on my mitts, though!” he noticed. We tested the ice pellets on a few different surfaces to see what might make them melt and what didn’t, then wondered why some things made the ice melt faster than others. Noah took his mitts off to feel how warm the surfaces were, to see if that was what made the ice melt.
