Turtle Plates

Landmark 8 (Nature Art Weekly)

After Melody read her story about How the Turtle got its Shell, she invited us to make turtles with paper plates. We created the shell designs with tissue paper. One student had an idea to put up water and grass for the turtles to be in. Some turtles wanted to swim in the water and others crawled or rested in the grass.
