Local Forest

Landmark 4 (Favourite Place Weekly)

We visited one of our favourite places, the local forest. Students are learning to become stewards of the land and learning what it takes to treasure mother earth and engage in outdoor learning activities in our forested area. One group decided to create a club while others discussed what plants need to survive. The big topic of discussion today was how would the plants get water. We wondered what would happen to the snow in the forest as the weather warms up. We are looking forward to discovering what plants will grow in our forest and some friends are wondering if we will find strawberries in our forest. We can’t wait to see the changes spring brings to our wooded area.
