Footprints and Nests

Ms. Volgyi’s grade 5/6 class explored the trails around Trent University and tried to look for or identify animal tracks. We learned that tracks are not solely animal footprints but can also be any other sign of animal existence such as fur, feathers or bones. We discovered a bird’s nest on the ground and placed it back up on a tree. We also found grouse feathers and rabbit footprints.
