What Trees Feel

We read a book called “Some Questions About Trees” while in the forest yesterday, and talked about our own ideas. Some of the questions were things like, “Does my favourite tree remember me?” “Do the tallest trees get lonely?” Alice said that yes, her favourite tree would remember her because she would give it hugs and maybe even give it apples! We debated about trees being lonely – Cole said that since the birds fly up where the tallest trees are they wouldn’t be lonely.
Ava said that since other, shorter trees are often close to each other in size the tallest trees would be jealous.
