The Magic Window

Landmark 11 (Celebrate Each Season)

In Science we have been learning about the changing of seasons. We have talked about how right now is the magic window for maple sap to flow. We went through a scientific procedure describing the supplies needed, created a hypothesis, and wrote out our procedure. With help from our custodian, we were able to use a drill and tap a tree on our yard, put in the spigot, and hang a bucket. Unfortunately, we do not have a maple tree on our property, but we talked about how all trees will produce sap. We are going to keep our fingers crossed and hope we have some treasure in our bucket!
