Trudging to the waterfall as it babbles a sound of spring is an experience of joyful anticipation. “Hi, geese. Have a wonderful day!” shouts Thomas. The cool air tickles our noses with the scent of slowly melting snow, while our ears are overwhelmed by the chit-chat of robins. Winter’s calm is beginning to fade away, making space for the much-anticipated activity of a warmer season. We are just so pleased to be able to traverse further than the apple tree now that the snow has begun to melt, we hardly notice our wet socks from our visit to the puddle.
