Outdoor Kitchen
Landmark 3 (Exercise Senses Daily)
Audrey, Georgia, and Scarlett were making pudding using mud, snow and water with the mud kitchen bowls and spoons. As they were making it, we had a thought to check our cart to see if we could make real pudding outside and we did but, when we asked kitchen for the milk, there wasn’t enough to make pudding. We checked the cart again and found Jello so they wanted to make that instead. Audrey read the directions and chose who would take the turns for each ingredient added. She guided the activity. The children measured out the ingredients and we talked about when the hot water mixed into the powder what happened, they said, “it’s dissolving!”. We asked, “what it means when it says “chill”?” And they said, “place in the refrigerator” and we walked down to put the Jello in the fridge so it could set.
