Orange & Seed Birdfeeders

Landmark 15 (Garden, birdfeeder, insects etc.)

The children have been hearing and seeing birds outside. We even had a robin tap on our daycare room window. The children really wanted to feed the bird. As a group, we made bird feeders out of oranges and sunflower seeds. The children pushed the seeds into the orange. Then we hung the around the yard to see if we could see any bird. The children were so engaged in this activity we decided to also hang some up in the woods for the birds and squirrels.
