In the book On Meadowview Street by Henry Cole, a child moves into a new neighbourhood and discovers a single flower in her yard. She decides she needs to protect her flower and she creates a wildflower preserve. Soon her yard fills with all kinds of flowers, insects, and birds. The students had a discussion on how they take care of the living things in our school yard.
