Planting Veggies

Landmark 5 (Garden or care for an animal)
We went over to our community garden plot and planted the pea and cucumbers we started from seed in our classroom. First we weeded the area and then the children took turns planting the seedlings and watering them afterwards. Then we added the weeds to the compost and added some cages over the plants to help the plants grow up. We were all surprised how fast the seeds grew compared to waiting for our sunflowers. I wonder when we will get to harvest these yummy vegetables?
